Dreaming allowed – Four extraordinary projects with contemporary Mediterranean villas in Son Vida
These luxurious projects were designed by the Mallorcan star architect Jaime Salvá and leave nothing to be desired in terms of design. With so much comfort and elegance, you won’t want to leave the house at all. Who needs the sea when you have a beautiful infinity pool with a dreamy view over Palma? Thanks to the approval process already underway, the licence is expected to be granted by the end of the year. Nothing will then stand in the way of an unforgettable living experience.
Imagine waking up and feeling a gentle breeze as you take in the breathtaking sunrise over Palma. On the spacious terrace of your Son Vida dream home, you enjoy your coffee and admire the beauty of the surrounding landscape. You could soon be living this pleasant morning ritual in one of our four bespoke, contemporary Mediterranean villas with a truly distinctive character.
A particularly attractive aspect is the fact that the approval process for all villas already began in September 2022 and the licence will be in place by the end of 2023.
DESIGN

These villas stand out for the impressive architectural vision on which they are based. The renowned architect Jaime Salvá is leading the project and can look back on a long family history in construction and interior design. After studying architecture in Barcelona and working at Korth Sunseri Hagey Architects in San Francisco, Salvá returned to Spain in 2006 to open his own studio on the Paseo del Borne in Palma.
Since then, his firm has steadily expanded and received enquiries for projects from all over the world. Salvá’s “contemporary Mediterranean” style integrates local materials and geometries, resulting in homes that reflect the personality and lifestyle of their owners. With Salvá as the architect, these villas are a defining feature in Son Vida.

Each of the four villas was individually designed, taking into account the unique characteristics of the plots. The modernity and warmth of the Mediterranean style are beautifully merged in the design, offering a unique and unforgettable living experience.
The interiors are spacious and feature an open-plan layout, flooded with natural light through large windows and sliding doors. The use of natural colours and materials creates a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The use of natural stone floors and limestone cladding on the façades, such as “Marbella limestone”, creates a warm and welcoming ambience that is both luxurious and inviting.
LAYOUT
Each property offers spacious levels, the exact size of which varies depending on the plot and design. The villas also have extensive terrace areas with their own pool. If we take a look at the square metres, the ground floor and first floor of each villa have similar footprint parameters. The ground floor of each villa has a total living area of approximately 250–300 square metres, while the first floor has a living area of approximately 240–260 square metres. The exact size of each floor depends on the respective plot and design.

Step into the open-plan ground floor and be captivated by the breathtaking view of the covered terraces and the pool. The generous kitchen, dining and living area offers plenty of space to relax and enjoy. The fully equipped kitchen leaves nothing to be desired and invites you to cook your favourite dishes and enjoy them on the terrace overlooking the pool and the beautiful landscape of Palma.
The covered terraces offer the perfect place for a cosy evening with friends or family. Whether enjoying a glass of wine or barbecuing in the grill area – – the breathtaking view will delight you. The pool area is spacious and offers ample room for swimming and sunbathing.
The first floor features a corridor with a living and seating area, as well as a principal bedroom that is an absolute highlight with its own terrace and an impressive view over Palma.
The basement offers numerous possibilities for leisure. Here you can set up a home cinema or an indoor pool and treat yourself to the ultimate luxury experience. A gym with all the necessary equipment for an effective workout is also available. All of these areas can be adapted to your individual needs.
