Famous and sophisticated
The sophisticated end of Mallorca's southwest: Port d'Andratx is famous and also a little notorious.
The beautiful natural harbour became famous in recent years due to illegal building on the surrounding mountain ranges. After parts of the administration were sent to prison and demolition orders were also enforced, peace now seems to return to this perhaps most expensive spot on Mallorca.
Food and party
The gastronomy on offer is excellent, Port d'Andratx is also "open" all year round, although winter has more of a break character than you would notice in Palma, for example.
Speaking of Palma, the distance is a good half hour. In my opinion, the resort is therefore only suitable to a limited extent as a main residence, but for holidaymakers who don't have any great desire to go on excursions, it is of course unproblematic.
The Gran Folies Beach Club is also very popular with boat excursionists and has really good gastronomic offers in various areas. And dream views. Which, by the way, is exactly what I like best about Port d'Andratx: it has beautiful views. You have to see the sunset!
But also nature
One of my favourite excursions is the hike from Port d'Andratx to Sant Elm. But Port d'Andratx also has a lot of nature to offer.
