Our Loft Azul is the perfect home for up to 4 people, ideally two couples or a couple with children. From your balcony you have a fantastic view across the first row of houses to the sea and the bay of Portixol.
There is a large double bed in the bedroom. And the cosy sofa can be converted into a full double bed in a few easy steps. There is also another bedroom with a pull-out double bed.
Loft Azul even has modern gas heating, which is rare in these parts. But it offers an enormous gain in comfort, especially in winter. This makes Loft Azul a wonderful place to spend the winter, even in the cold season. Loft Azul also has air conditioning. The proximity to Palma, the fantastic view, the wonderful light and the audible sound of the sea make a stay a pure pleasure all year round!
The new fully equipped kitchen offers a NESPRESSO machine, cooker, oven, sink and a refrigerator. In the living room there is an LED TV with satellite reception and the whole flat has high-speed WLAN.
Our Loft Azul is located in Portixol, the top spot of Palma de Mallorca. Directly in the bay behind the first line! You can't get a better location than this! Be in the middle of it, but above it.
From the third floor you can enjoy the sea view in this beautiful flat. Hear it and smell it! From the shower, the kitchen and the living area. Or you can sit on your cosy balcony with perfect southern exposure!
Afterwards, you walk out the door and are in the midst of the lively life of Palma's promenade. Every Palmesander strolls along here. Where you live. Or you can treat yourself to an impromptu dinner on the roof terrace high above the rooftops of Portixol and enjoy the view of the cathedral and Bellver Castle?
The bus stop is "around the corner", various marinas and the approx. 5 km distant port of Palma de Mallorca invites you to browse. You can reach the old town of Palma on foot in 20 minutes or simply take a taxi. Supermarkets, butchers, greengrocers, pharmacies and everything you need is within walking distance.
Actually, Portixol does not officially exist. The district of Palma around which everything revolves is El Molinar. It stretches from the Marina Plaza complex, which is not really worth mentioning architecturally, to the next town, Ciudad Jardin. The part closer to Palma is a former neighbourhood of Molinar called Portixol, or El Portitxol in Mallorquin. Then comes El Molinar itself, named after the many windmills so typical of Mallorca. Our colleague has written a nice article about the history of this trendy neighbourhood: The history of El Molinar
Portixol, the small fishing village right by the sea, is almost more of a hipster hangout today, but with a lot of charm and heart. It is probably the most popular hot spot in Palma de Mallorca.
The mixture of local, almost village-like serenity and lively, trendy gastronomy is certainly what makes this beautiful place so appealing. All of Palma strolls here at the weekend. But in the evenings and during the week, Mallorcan serenity settles over the beautiful little bay again ...
The waterfront promenade invites you to take a leisurely stroll, and the coastal cycle path connects the port of Palma de Mallorca with El Arenal over 20 kilometres. The entire stretch of coast is frequented by sportsmen and connoisseurs, and countless cafés and restaurants invite you to linger. Or buy a fishing rod and see what you catch?
It takes 20-30 minutes to walk to the old town of Palma, past the beautiful cathedral. Just around the corner you will find supermarkets, small grocery shops, a famous local butcher's shop, bicycle rental, gyms and whatever your heart desires. A car is more of a hindrance in Portixol, parking spaces are scarce in summer. However, public transport is close by and everything important is within walking distance.
We rent out beautiful lofts and flats here, take a look!
