1. DINS Santi Taura
In the immediate vicinity of the cathedral, just five minutes away on foot, is the Hotel El Llorenç Parc de la Mar. Here at Restaurant DINS, local chef Santi Taura conjures up traditional Mallorcan recipes with a modern twist. The lunchtime tasting menu is particularly recommended, as it reinterprets Mallorcan flavours in an innovative way. Book in good time to avoid disappointment. Santi Taura is a well-known name in the world of Mallorcan gastronomy. He enriches his creative dishes with the “historical memory” of Balearic cuisine, delighting both traditionalists and adventurous gourmets.
Santi Taura has returned to his university city of Palma and has brought concepts from his eponymous restaurant and DINS in Lloseta with him. The new DINS Santi Taura restaurant at the Hotel El Llorenç Parc de la Mar offers sea views in the historic Jewish quarter of La Calatrava.
The bar extends from the kitchen at the back and offers an intimate atmosphere. In addition to this bar, the modern interior features ten more tables. The “DINS a la carte” offering includes reinterpreted Mallorcan classics. The main courses delight with fresh side dishes of salad and vegetables. The dessert “Walk through the Sierra Tramuntana” rounds off the experience.

2. Bens d’Avall in Deià
In the heart of Mallorca you’ll find Bens d’Avall. The restaurant first opened in 1971 and has undergone a remarkable transformation since then. Originally run by Benet Vicens’ mother and grandmother, today Benet himself stands at the stove and, together with his talented 23-year-old son, forms an unbeatable culinary team.
The restaurant’s location, just 1,500 metres from the Deià to Sóller road, lends the visit a sense of escape from everyday life and is a reminder of Mallorca’s beauty. The terrace offers a breathtaking view of the mountains and the Mediterranean. In 2016 it was completely renovated to create a more relaxed atmosphere.
The cuisine is modern yet Mallorcan – healthy, natural and creative. Benet and his son Jaume draw inspiration from Mallorca’s seasonal produce and create dishes that unite tradition and innovation.
Bens d’Avall is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful restaurants in Mallorca, both in terms of its location and its ambience, service and cuisine. The prices reflect the quality, but for an unforgettable culinary experience the visit is more than worthwhile.

3. Adrián Quetglas in Palma
Adrian Quetglas, raised in Buenos Aires with a Mallorcan father and paternal grandparents, combines in his dishes the culinary traditions of his grandmother with the Argentine specialties of his homeland. This unique cuisine, which blends two ethnic influences into innovative dishes, is reflected in his culinary imagination. His professional experience in kitchens from Paris to Moscow has perfected his technique.
Since 2017, Adrian Quetglas has held a Michelin star, a sign that diversity and creativity bring about positive change.
The modern and stylish restaurant offers both indoor seating and tables on the covered terrace.

4. Marc Fosh in Palma
Before opening his own restaurant, Marc Fosh was the first British chef in Spain to be awarded a Michelin star. His restaurant, set in a converted 17th-century monastery, also received a Michelin star in 2015, which it has retained every year since.
The restaurant’s modern interior impresses with daylight, contemporary art and an inner courtyard for al fresco dining in good weather. Marc Fosh places great emphasis on creative, modern Mediterranean cuisine based on fresh, seasonal and local ingredients, and often uses herbs and medicinal plants.
The restaurant serves lunch and dinner, with the lunch menu changing weekly and offering good value for money. In the evening, there are three tasting menus to choose from, including a vegetarian menu.
The wine list offers a wide selection, although the restaurant’s own wines are produced on the mainland.
The restaurant is often fully booked, so reservations in advance are essential.

5. VORO in Canyamel
Chef Álvaro Salazar is a well-known figure in Mallorca and worked intensively to obtain two Michelin stars for 2021/22. His drive and passion, together with the experience and charm of the Maître d‘, Mario, help make the Voro experience unforgettable.
Although the restaurant has a strikingly minimalist design, it quickly becomes clear that every design decision was made deliberately. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes that play with different flavours, textures and presentations. Overall, Restaurant Voro, under the leadership of Álvaro and his team, offers a culinary rollercoaster that surprises guests with diverse flavours and artful dishes. The restaurant is seen as a promising candidate for further Michelin stars.

6. Maca de Castro in Port d’Alcúdia
Once known as El Jardín, this restaurant now bears the name of its leading chef. It is part of the de Castro family’s gastronomy business in the north of Mallorca and has held a Michelin star since 2012, which it retains every year.
The cuisine combines traditional Mallorcan and Mediterranean dishes with creative modernity, using top-quality local ingredients. The regularly changing tasting menu is balanced and exciting.
Special attention is given to underrated Mediterranean fish dishes and tasty meat creations that bring tradition and avant-garde haute cuisine together.
Restaurant Maca de Castro impresses with contemporary décor and is adorned with artworks from the family. Reservations can easily be made online.
During the winter season, the restaurant remains closed as the team travels to Uruguay, where the sister restaurant Jardín by Sarava (JBS) is located.

7. Es Fum in Costa d’en Blanes
Es Fum is an exquisite restaurant on the ground floor of the luxurious St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort. Awarded a Michelin star as early as November 2011, the restaurant still sets standards in fine dining.
Restaurant Es Fum combines a charming, traditional ambience with innovative culinary creations under the leadership of Chef José Miguel Navarro, an experienced chef who has worked in world-famous restaurants such as El Celler de Can Roca in Girona.
The atmosphere at Es Fum can be felt both in the dark wooden furnishings indoors and on the elegant terrace colonnades, from which there is a breathtaking view of the lush garden and the sea.
Es Fum offers seasonal dinners with a fixed menu selection in which the dishes are described only by the ingredients used, making every meal a surprise. The dishes are artfully presented and offer a harmonious blend of savoury, sweet and fresh flavours.
The service is professional, warm and without excessive stiffness. The experienced staff, led by Daniela Wittig, ensures that you want for nothing, including excellent wine advice from the sommelier.
Es Fum not only offers an exceptional culinary experience, but also an impressive selection of wines, including local wines, making for an unforgettable experience.

8. Andreu Genestra
The Nice-born chef Andreu Genestra runs his eponymous restaurant at the Hotel Zoëtry Mallorca in Llucmajor. Much like Macarena de Castro, he uses the low season to travel and gain new culinary experiences, for example through guest-chef appearances in luxury hotels in India. Andreu Genestra received his first Michelin star in 2015 and retains it through 2023.
In a Mallorcan manor house, the acclaimed chef Andrés Genestra is working on his new culinary concept. When entering Andreu Genestra’s new restaurant, a clear message is conveyed: above the entrance float, almost as if they were Andreu’s personal thoughts and passions, traditional Mallorcan foods such as pickled fruit, olives and pickled vegetables, forming an ascending spiral. This is an impressive homage to the “rebost,” the traditional Mallorcan pantry that once supplied our grandmothers’ kitchens with staple foods. The central concept that shapes the menu and Genestra’s culinary identity is the Mediterranean in all its facets, in its forms and flavours as well as in its temporal dimension and its way of understanding processes.

9. Zaranda
The legendary Zaranda of renowned chef Fernando Pérez Arellano continues to enchant the senses in the heart of Palma’s old town. You’ll find this culinary jewel within the luxurious Hotel Es Princep, though with its own independent entrance.
Restaurant Zaranda rises on the historic foundation walls of a former tannery and cleverly plays with the site’s roots and with words. Based on enticing tasting menus with resonant names such as “Hypodermis,” “Dermis” and “Epidermis,” extraordinary pickled starters are served here, all of which draw inspiration from the Arab world and the history of leather tanning. A special highlight for guests is the transparent floor, which provides a view of the partially preserved remains of the old tannery.
The presentation of the food is of the highest perfection, the textures are delicate, and the best products of the island are used in flavourful combinations. Paired with carefully selected wines, an unforgettable culinary experience is guaranteed.

10. Fusion19
After extensive travels and culinary adventures in the Mediterranean, Japan and Latin America, the talented chef Javier Hoebeck finally returned to his home of Mallorca. In 2016, he found his culinary home at Fusion 19, a restaurant that belongs to Grupo Boulevard. There, within a year, he rose to head chef, and Fusion 19 quickly received a coveted Michelin star.
The culinary highlight of Fusion 19 is a 13-course menu served in five exciting phases. Each dish tells the story of Javier’s travels and reflects his culinary influences. Guests can look forward to artfully prepared dishes, from small delicacies to more sumptuous pleasures. These creations bear witness to Javier’s great knowledge of fresh flavours and the origin of the ingredients.
With Javier Hoebeck as head chef, Fusion 19 in Mallorca is undoubtedly a culinary highlight. The Michelin star is well-deserved recognition of the first-class quality offered at this restaurant. A visit to Fusion 19 promises an unforgettable taste experience for food lovers and gourmet enthusiasts.
