Alcúdia

Alcúdia is one of the most diverse locations in the north of Mallorca. Behind the fully preserved city walls lies a lively old town with narrow lanes, natural-stone façades, small squares, and stately houses. Roman traces of the ancient city of Pollentia, medieval architecture, and everyday life that has grown over time sit unusually close together here.

The historic center is not merely a backdrop, but a place that is lived in year-round, with shops, restaurants, and a traditional weekly market. Around the old town are quiet residential streets, townhouses with inner courtyards, and modernized apartments; beyond the built-up area, more rural zones open up with fincas and larger plots.

The municipality includes very different stretches of coastline. Platja d’Alcúdia offers fine sand over many kilometers and gently shelving water, while smaller coves on the Victòria peninsula feel noticeably more unspoiled. Port d’Alcúdia complements the historic town with a harbor, promenade, water sports, and extensive infrastructure for everyday needs.

The landscape shifts between sea, fields, pine-covered slopes, and wetlands. Nearby begins the s’Albufera Natural Park, one of the most important wetland areas in the Balearic Islands. Hiking and cycling routes lead through surroundings that remain appealing even outside the summer season.
