Bendinat

Bendinat lies on Mallorca’s southwest coast between Palma and Portals Nous. The residential area extends from the sea over gently rising hillsides up to the surroundings of the golf course and, despite its proximity to the island’s capital, feels pleasantly understated.

Old Bendinat near the coast is characterised by established villas, mature plots, and quiet streets. Further up, more modern residential areas open up with apartments and houses, whose orientation often takes advantage of views over the Bay of Palma or the green surroundings. The neo-Gothic Castell de Bendinat is a distinctive historic landmark of the area, but it is privately owned.

Real Golf de Bendinat and the wooded foothills of the Serra de Na Burguesa give the area a green, spacious atmosphere. Small bathing coves, the beaches of Illetes, as well as the marina and restaurants of Puerto Portals are in the immediate vicinity. At the same time, Palma, international schools, medical services, and the airport are easily accessible.

Bendinat is not a classic resort with a pronounced centre. Its appeal lies instead in its quiet residential quality and its proximity to several established towns. For shopping and restaurants, most people use Portals Nous, Illetes, or Palma; in everyday life, the car therefore plays a greater role than in inner-city locations.

The property offering ranges from spacious apartments in well-maintained complexes to detached villas with garden and pool. Particularly sought after are discreet plots, good sun orientation, and unobstructed views. Due to the limited area and established development, high-quality properties come onto the market relatively rarely.
