El Terreno

El Terreno stretches along the southern edge of the Bellver forest above the Paseo Marítimo. Early on, the neighborhood was a preferred summer and residential address outside the old town, and later developed a cosmopolitan culture of hotels, music venues, villas, and dense urban life. These different layers are still visible in the streetscape today.

Typical features include rising, sometimes winding streets, old townhouses, detached villas, and apartment buildings from several eras. El Terreno does not have a uniform center. Quiet residential streets can be just a few steps away from lively main routes. Gradients, traffic, nighttime activity, and parking conditions vary greatly from one street to the next; a careful review of the exact micro-location is therefore especially important.
