Playa de Muro

Playa de Muro is located in the Bay of Alcúdia between Port d’Alcúdia and Can Picafort. The area stretches along an exceptionally long sandy beach, whose fine, light sand and gently shelving water make the coastline particularly accessible. Depending on the section, the surroundings feel lively and comfortable or close to nature and quiet.

The northern part offers dense infrastructure with hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, water sports, and services for everyday needs. Further south, development becomes less dense. There, wooden walkways lead through dunes and pine trees to the beach, while inland the s’Albufera nature park begins – the most important wetland in the Balearic Islands and an important area for numerous bird species.

This proximity to beach and nature shapes daily life more than a classic town center. Walking, cycling, swimming, and water sports take priority. In the summer season the area is noticeably livelier; outside the peak months it becomes quieter, and some of the tourist offerings reduce their opening hours. For year-round living, the exact location in relation to established infrastructure is therefore important.

The flat landscape makes getting around straightforward, but it also makes wind, humidity, and the protection of the natural surroundings relevant factors. Connections to Alcúdia, Port d’Alcúdia, and Can Picafort are short; for many other trips, a car is useful.

The property offering consists mainly of apartments, townhouses, and individual villas near the beach. Particularly sought-after are open views, good terraces, short walks to the beach, and a quiet orientation away from more heavily frequented roads. For properties close to the sea, the building condition, ventilation, and salty air deserve particular attention.
