Seafood Delight: Maris Galicia Brings Galicia’s Authenticity to Palma!
Major seafood party with 40 tonnes of seafood, fresh dishes and Galician wines. Huge dining area, stage show and daily deliveries in pool trucks
The authentic Great Seafood Party, Maris Galicia, has set up in Palma to delight lovers of seafood cuisine. The doors have already been open for a few days and will remain accessible to you until 1 October. In Son Fusteret, an impressive scene awaits you, with a gigantic 1,500-square-metre dining area offering space for more than 1,000 people. Inside the huge marquee you will find various stands where fresh dishes are prepared. Plenty of tables and chairs are, of course, also available. In addition, a stage sets the mood with the performance of the great spectacle of the “Conxuro de la Queimada”. The figures are equally impressive: 40 tonnes of seafood, 15,000 bottles of Albariño and more than 25,000 visitors.

Live lobsters, thumb-sized percebes, delicate cigalitas that melt in your mouth, the best octopus from the Atlantic, or juicy claws of edible crabs, which will captivate the audience with skilful hands and a bit of dexterity. All of this is served with delicious wines from Galicia at very affordable prices, so that no one stays at home.
Maris Galicia pool trucks
One secret behind Maris Galicia’s success is that all the seafood is delivered daily in pool trucks, without intermediaries, which guarantees quality and very low prices. Since it started in 2009, this event has delighted the country’s main capitals: Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Vitoria, Sevilla, Pamplona, Bilbao, Tarragona, Gijón, Santander, San Sebastián, Albacete…

After your visit, you can explore the facilities and take a look at the delicious food being prepared right before your eyes. In total, six large stands are available to you, including a bakery where empanadas, cakes and the classic Galician bread are baked. There is also a rice stand, where experienced chefs prepare traditional recipes with great care. In the pulpería, you can enjoy grilled and boiled dishes and even choose which piece you want to eat by looking directly into the tank. There is also a bar with a selection of wines and liqueurs, as well as a souvenir corner.
From the outside, an exhibition with 40 large-format photographs impresses, presenting Galicia’s rich heritage in terms of tourism, culture and products. As soon as you enter the tent, you are immersed in a unique maritime atmosphere, accompanied by decorative elements such as fishing nets, lifebuoys and buoys. Here, the mood is perfected by music and the fascinating “Conxuros de Meigas”. This culinary experience is accompanied by live music, including Galician bagpipes and traditional dances.
MarisGalicia’s opening hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 13:00 to 16:30 and from 20:00 to 23:00. On Sundays you can stop by from 13:00 to 16:30. In this edition, an ordering system has also been introduced via the website www.marisgalicia.es, allowing you to pre-order food and pick it up.
