We had lunch at the Osteria de Plaça de Sant Francesc restaurant in Palma. The square is charming, the restaurant has 5-6 outdoor tables and a cozy, manageable indoor area.

The house wine, a Portuguese Douro, impressed with fruity aromas, but was not sweet and not too mineral. A great wine! The glass cost 8 euros, but was poured generously. In the end, the car stayed in the parking garage ...

I chose fusili with salsiccia ragu from the menu of the day, a delight. The pasta was perfect, both in terms of taste and cooking point. The ragu had a strong, full-bodied flavor, neither spicy nor over-seasoned, simply a good product! The bread basket I ordered didn't arrive, but they apologized and brought it to the house so I could enjoy the leftovers of the wonderful sauce with the amazingly good baguette.

For dessert, I chose panna cotta, my favorite dessert, often homemade. Simple really, but it's hard to hide mistakes. Here it was perfect, both in terms of taste and texture. It could have been a little less sweet, as could the strawberry fruit topping, but that's really just a minor thing. It was one of the best panna cottas I've ever had.

The service was not particularly fast and occasionally forgetful, but charming and very nice! It felt like being with good friends, which is what the experience in a good Italian restaurant should be. However, I wouldn't recommend eating here if you're short on time as the dishes take time to prepare.

The price-performance ratio was completely reasonable, although it was above average. The fresh products and the preparation with love and perfection justified the price. We paid around 90 euros for two people with several glasses of wine.
